Trip planner or move planner?
A trip and a move need different tools. A trip is flights, hotels and a day-by-day plan. A move abroad is official websites, documents, registration and the order those steps depend on. We make Waymora, so it is listed first. TripIt and Wanderlog details come from their own websites, checked on 12 October 2026. Plans and prices change, so check the linked pages before you subscribe.

1. Waymora: official websites for each step of a move
Waymora keeps official government websites and your personal Journey in one place. The Official Portal Directory lists a website only after Waymora opens the government site, Scam Shield compares a visa or arrival address to those listed websites, and the emergency directory stays free. Thailand and Vietnam have a reviewed step list on Move abroad. Waymora does not choose a visa, fill a government form or decide eligibility. Prices are on the pricing page.
2. TripIt: itineraries from your confirmation emails
TripIt builds an itinerary when you forward your confirmation emails to it, wherever you booked (TripIt). Its pricing page lists a free plan and TripIt Pro at $49 a year, which adds real-time flight alerts, check-in reminders, alternate flights and a passport renewal reminder, with a free 30-day trial (TripIt Pro).
3. Wanderlog: an itinerary and a map in one view
Wanderlog describes itself as a free travel planner where you create detailed itineraries, explore user-shared guides and manage bookings, with your itinerary and your map in one view (Wanderlog).
When TripIt is the better pick
- You are planning trips, not a relocation.
- You want an itinerary built from forwarded booking emails.
- You want flight alerts, gate changes and baggage claim information.
- You share plans with people travelling with you.
Many people moving abroad use both: TripIt or Wanderlog for the flight out, and Waymora for the official steps on either side of it. The first week after landing checklist and how to tell an official immigration website from a lookalike pick up where the trip ends.
Questions
Is there a TripIt alternative for moving abroad?
Yes. TripIt is built to organize trip itineraries from forwarded confirmation emails. Waymora is an iPhone app for a move abroad: it turns official government websites into Journey steps, compares places on dated official figures, checks lookalike visa and arrival websites with Scam Shield, and keeps emergency numbers free.
Does Waymora replace TripIt for flights and hotels?
No. Waymora does not read booking emails, track flights or build a day-by-day itinerary. If you want flight alerts and a trip itinerary, TripIt or Wanderlog is the better pick, and you can use one of them next to Waymora.
How much does TripIt Pro cost compared with Waymora Pro?
TripIt's pricing page lists a free plan and TripIt Pro at $49 per year with a free 30-day trial, checked October 2026. Waymora keeps emergency contacts, the Official Portal Directory and Scam Shield free, and Waymora Pro is $14.99 a month or $79.99 a year.
Does Waymora choose my visa or fill in government forms?
No. Waymora does not choose a visa, fill a government form or decide eligibility. It points you to the official government website for each step and shows the date that website was last opened.
When is TripIt the better pick?
When you are planning trips rather than a move: forwarding confirmations to build an itinerary, getting real-time flight alerts, gate and baggage claim information with TripIt Pro, or sharing plans with travel companions.
